Position Overview
The HF Senior Systems Engineer supports our DoD client by providing technical expertise in High Frequency (HF) communications systems, including software-defined radios (SDR), waveforms, and supporting software and system integrations. The role focuses on the integration, analysis, testing, and evaluation of HF systems and associated software capabilities to enable interoperable, resilient communications and data transport across distributed mission environments.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a systems engineer supporting HF communications systems, including SDRs, waveforms, and associated software and integration efforts.
- Support development and integration of software applications, scripts, and tools used for analysis, testing, and evaluation of HF systems.
- Conduct technical analysis of HF systems, including requirements, designs, performance data, and test artifacts.
- Assess interoperability, performance, resiliency, and cybersecurity considerations of HF systems and supporting software.
- Support integration of HF systems with tactical networks, applications, data platforms, and mission systems across distributed environments.
- Plan and participate in laboratory and over-the-air testing, demonstrations, and evaluations.
- Develop technical reports, analysis products, and recommendations.
- Support technical working groups, IPTs, and cross-Service coordination.
- Provide technical briefings and documentation to leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience supporting DoD communications, systems engineering, or mission systems.
- Experience with software development, scripting, or systems integration across distributed environments.
- Experience with communications system testing, evaluation, or interoperability assessments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
- Familiarity with HF communications systems, SDRs, or tactical radio systems.
- Experience supporting HF communications initiatives or programs.
- Experience integrating communications systems with data platforms, analytics systems, or mission applications.
- Experience with DevSecOps practices, containerized environments, or secure platform engineering.
- Experience working in Ft. Huachuca or similar mission environments.

Compensation $110,000 – $128,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
