Mid-Level Computer Systems Analyst - ME

Department: Information Technology (Consulting)
Location: San Diego, CA

The Marlin Alliance, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Computer Systems Analyst within a commutable distance from Kittery, ME. This individual will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and assistance to non-IT users, troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of hardware, software, and application-related issues. This position supports our Navy customer and offers exceptional upside potential.

Established in 2002, The Marlin Alliance is seeking to hire highly skilled individuals to support mission critical projects within the Navy. We are looking for motivated individuals to lead and support digital transformation, data science and analytics, and automation projects for variety of Navy clients. Individuals must be able to function in a fast-paced work environment and able to adapt quickly to rapidly changing requirements and technologies. Using your comprehensive knowledge of various technologies, you will design, develop, and implement solutions to support Navy mission owners in their digital transformation journey.

Primary Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for end-users, providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 help desk support.

Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to computer systems, software applications, and peripherals.

Assist users with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of various applications and software.

Document and track support requests, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.

Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to escalate and resolve complex issues.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware, software, and applications used within the organization.

Provide training and guidance to end-users on the effective use of computer systems and applications.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of support documentation and knowledge base.


Qualifications and Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related information technology (IT) role, with a focus on user support and help desk operations.

Proven experience in providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 help desk support, assisting non-IT users with applications.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Proficiency in various operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and common office productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).

Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Strong customer service orientation and a commitment to providing exceptional user support.


Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional).

Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.

Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).

Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
