Senior Computer Systems Analyst - ME

Department: Information Technology (Consulting)
Location: San Diego, CA

The Marlin Alliance, Inc. is seeking a Senior Computer Systems Analyst within a commutable distance from Kittery, ME. This individual will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, developing system specifications, and implementing computer systems to meet the organization's needs. This position supports our Navy customer and offers exceptional upside potential.

Established in 2002, The Marlin Alliance is seeking to hire highly skilled individuals to support mission critical projects within the Navy. We are looking for motivated individuals to lead and support digital transformation, data science and analytics, and automation projects for variety of Navy clients. Individuals must be able to function in a fast-paced work environment and able to adapt quickly to rapidly changing requirements and technologies. Using your comprehensive knowledge of various technologies, you will design, develop, and implement solutions to support Navy mission owners in their digital transformation journey.

Primary Responsibilities:

Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders and end-users to identify system needs and opportunities for improvement.

Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate alternative solutions to recommend the most appropriate and cost-effective approach.

Develop detailed system requirements specifications, data models, and process flows.

Design and document system architectures, interfaces, and data structures.

Collaborate with developers to ensure the successful implementation of system requirements.

Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure correct functionality and quality.

Implement and deploy computer systems, including hardware, software, and network components.

Provide training and support to end-users on new or updated systems.

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in systems analysis and design.


Qualifications and Requirements:

Four-year or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in a related information technology (IT) role, with a strong focus on systems analysis and design.

Proven experience in developing system requirements based on user input and analyzing business requirements and alternatives.

Proficient in developing technical documentation, testing development and production software for correct functionality.

Experience in implementing computer systems to meet customer requirements.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Familiarity with project management methodologies and software development life cycles (SDLC).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or other large-scale business applications.

Knowledge of agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and technologies.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, CISSP).

$80,000 - $150,000
