Installation Analyst

Department: Information Technology (Consulting)
Location: San Diego, CA

The Marlin Alliance, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Installation Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Navy shipboard installations, a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, and an active Secret Clearance. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the successful implementation of shipboard systems and equipment.

Established in 2002, The Marlin Alliance is seeking to hire highly skilled individuals to support mission critical projects within the Navy. We are looking for motivated individuals to lead and support digital transformation, data science and analytics, and automation projects for variety of Navy clients. Individuals must be able to function in a fast-paced work environment and able to adapt quickly to rapidly changing requirements and technologies. Using your comprehensive knowledge of various technologies, you will design, develop, and implement solutions to support Navy mission owners in their digital transformation journey.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Installation Planning: Collaborate with project teams to develop installation plans and schedules for shipboard systems and equipment.
  • Technical Analysis: Conduct technical assessments and analysis of shipboard installations to ensure compatibility and compliance with Navy standards and requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks and inspections during installation activities to verify that systems and equipment are installed correctly and meet performance standards.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain accurate and detailed installation documentation, including diagrams, reports, and configuration records.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and address installation issues and challenges, working closely with project teams to find effective solutions.
  • Coordination: Coordinate installation activities with shipyard personnel, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient execution.
  • Compliance: Ensure installations comply with safety, security, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Reporting: Provide regular status updates and reports on installation progress and issues to project managers and leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Navy shipboard installations.
  • Active Secret Clearance is required.
  • Strong technical knowledge of shipboard systems and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Navy installation standards and procedures is a plus.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Navy or other Department of Defense agencies.
