Power Platform Management Support Specialist

Department: Marlin Information Technology
Location: San Diego, CA

Marlin Alliance is seeking a forward-thinking Microsoft Office 365 (M365) Power Platform Specialist to provide client support to the assigned Knowledge Management (KM) Team Functional Lead within the Office of the Command Information Officer (OCIO) at the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) in the San Diego area. This position supports our Navy customer and requires the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Established in 2002, The Marlin Alliance is seeking to hire highly skilled individuals to support mission critical projects within the Navy. We are looking for motivated individuals to lead and support digital transformation, data science and analytics, and automation projects for variety of Navy clients. Individuals must be able to function in a fast-paced work environment and able to adapt quickly to rapidly changing requirements and technologies. Using your comprehensive knowledge of various technologies, you will design, develop, and implement solutions to support Navy mission owners in their digital transformation journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop custom Microsoft 365 (M365) Power Automate workflows to effectively implement continuous process improvements based on evolving client requirements.
  • Effectively employ a variety of M365 Power Automate/Apps and Power BI capabilities to establish, document and deploy new online common processes and best practices.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assist various users across the organization, as requested, to help troubleshoot workflow challenges to provide directly applicable power automate solutions.
  • Deliver virtual demos and training sessions of custom workflow solutions to NAVWAR-internal customers upon request.
  • Generate, update and maintain critical reports using the M365 Office application suite. Includes leveraging the advanced use of Excel (for example vertical lookup).
  • Develops and delivers analysis of data resident in Microsoft Excel format to assist in asset management and resource tracking associated to program and project management.
  • Learn to maximize leveraging Department of the Navy’s (DON’s) customized local instantiation of M365 Teams to consistently execute major client deliverables as well as train fellow users how to do the same.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Associates Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or at least three years of directly applicable professional experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfortably familiar with most Microsoft Office 365 Applications.
  • Motivated self-starter who is highly-effective performing autonomously, delivering high-visibility with limited direction.
  • Highly personable high-capable of to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong adaptability and comfort working in a fast-paced, and sometimes unstructured, environment.
  • Must provide example of where candidate has used SharePoint or Dataverse, PowerApps, and PowerAutomate to digitalize a process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration preferred.
  • Ideal candidate would capably manage a vast range of KM projects that involve high-visibility task execution, facilitating collaboration sessions, and ensuring efficient use of various information systems.
  • High-level capacity to exercise strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to deliver actionable decision reporting.
  • Experience in applying strong analytical skills to support process improvement, studies, and analysis projects.
  • Highly capable of translating complex concepts into concise processes and tactical plans.

The work environment for this position requires an individual to be able to:

  • Work sitting or standing at a desk or conference table for extended periods of time with the ability to shift positions while working: sit, stand, pace and adjust positioning in any of those without issue.
  • Candidate must have the resources to telework.
  • Walk in the office to collaborate with co-workers, attend meetings or retrieve documents from the printer.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
